| When Chocklitkiss first came to the There community, she noticed that there was a need for a group that provides more opportunities for African-Americans in game to meet, socialize, and support each other. She decided to form a club for the purpose of bringing these members together, and created AfrikanAmericans Around da World (3AW).The group offers support and assistance to those who are either new to online gaming or new to There itself. |

| The main intention of this group is to serve as a way to help people connect with others within their cultural community. Membership is open to both African-Americans and the community at large. The club does not yet hold regular events, but plans are in the works. Chocklitkiss has been working on a quest that will showcase the lots, hoods and businesses owned by African-Americans in game and to demonstrate the passion and commitment of this community. They will also be having the first ever fashion show featuring an African-American designer, deej_1908. Her Wicked Wear line was designed for avies who want to look good without having all their pixels hanging out. Deej is also working on the designs for the club t-shirt. There are also plans to have a neighborhood to serve as "home base" for club members and their activities. Chocklitkiss is planning to purchase the group's first hood sometime before the end of summer 2008, just in time to celebrate her 2nd There birthday in October. Chocklitkiss adds, "3AW is a showcase for the diversity of the African-American experience for all the world to see. We are proud of ourselves, and invite everyone to share in our accomplishments and victories. And [we wish] to publicly thank those There members who, although not of my culture, have offered invaluable assistance and acceptance." More information for 3AW can be found on a scroll, located at the base of Chocklitkiss's driveway in Paradise Cove, the club's defacto meeting place. You may also contact Chocklitkiss, the main club contact, or Saliee, DC3Fan1 and Caramel_Lexy, who serve as support and inspiration for the positive image that 3AW means to project. |
