Getting Started: Action Mode

Action Mode is very useful for driving vehicles in There. It allows you to take tighter turns and in some vehicles use turbo!  When Action Mode is enabled your cursor as well as the menu bars at the bottom of your screen will disappear.  This allows your mouse to control your movements.  You can toggle Action Mode on or off by selecting There > Customize > World > Default to Action Mode.  To bring back your cursor and menu bars when in Action Mode hold down the CTRL key.   Note: In order to shoot a paintball gun you will need to be in action mode.  When finished simply hold CTRL, use your cursor and put away the gun to return to standard mode.

You will still see your menu bar when you are not in action mode.

Your cursor and menu bar will disappear when you are in action mode.

CC Metro Hoverboard Showdown

Saturday, July 26th, at 12pm Pacific Come and show off your skills in this ultimate hoverboard competition. Fastest lap time at the end of the event wins 18K T$ and bragging rights for the week.

Tiger100 swept in to take first place, with GermanRoleModel hot on his tail with second. XxSNIPE_RxX was also back to claim the third place spot. Wow, these players are unstoppable. Yozh: Island Guide of the Month for June

Special BABS event on Saturday

The BABS group is having a special event on Saturday, July 26th, at 3 PM Pacific. This article was submitted to us by TeriG, club leader of BABS, and was written by kitte:

No telling who's going to catch that ornery Leo cat. Will it be you? There's no way to know unless you join the "Chasing Leo Around the BABS" event on Saturday at 3pm. Leo cat is very cantankerous and will only give clues by X & Y co-ordinates, so you'll need a GPS to catch this wirey beast. TeriG has graciously accepted the role of this slippery Leo cat. Can she outsmart you as she scampers away into the dusky fog? There will be four legs to this event which just makes sense, and the one who figures all four the best will beat out the rest to win 8000T (2000T for each leg - LOL) donated by the Hairier Legion Flight Team. Don't be missing when we start the race to the Chasing Leo Around the BABS! You'll be sorry if you do.

Club of the Week: Spanish Focus Island Guides

Bienvenido a There! That's Spanish for "Welcome to There!" We are very pleased that we have so many Spanish-speaking members, and happily more of our Island Guides speak Spanish as well. Some of the guides have teamed up to create the Spanish Focus Island Guides group. They are putting their heads together to make There more accessible and way more fun for our new Hispanic members.
