Club of the Week: Spiritus Field Trips

Be careful what you say around Spiritus; he has a playful nature and the tech skills to back it up! At one of the recent Real Life Gatherings, someone offhandedly commented that they would like to log in and find themselves in a different spot each time just to see more of the world. Quicker than you can say, "Clucky," Spiritus formed the group, Spiritus Field Trips, which randomly teleports people to different spots in There!

Spiritus has created a script that will teleport club members to random spots within a fixed radius of the Tiki Islands. When does this happen? Whenever he thinks about it! Where do you go? Not too far from the Tikis, but our world has a lot of water, so you might find yourself in the middle of the ocean. Although at the moment, Spiritus is working on a Version 2 that will include Aurora and perhaps limit the chances of landing in water. What if you're in the middle of a race? Spiritus, in his wisdom about community matters, has tweaked the script so that members will not be teleported if they are in a chat prop. This happily eliminates the possibility of being removed from a race or a spades game at a crucial moment. After the random teleports, members are given a pop-up explaining that they were teleported and are given a link to be removed from the club if they wish. Looking for a little random adventure?
