Halloween Zone Contest!

The ghouls and goblins are looking for new homes; can you decorate a place for them to live? Enter your spooky home or haunted zone for this contest today! Read the rules below and send in your entry. You are also welcome to nominate a friend’s zone.

All Neighborhood Lot, PAZ, FunZone, and There House owners are eligible to participate. How will the Halloween zone Contest work? Read on for all the details...

1. If you want to participate, or nominate someone else, please send an email to emma.there@gmail.com (subject: Halloween Zone Contest) by no later than 3pm Pacific on Tuesday, October 21st, with the following information: Project Leader or Zone Owner Avatar Name Alternative email for Project Leader/ owner Type of Zone Lot or PAZ Island Location of zone URL Link to Location or DOID One to Five screenshots of participating Halloween zone in 800 x 600 resolution (JPG format). 2. Participants may use either a 1-Acre or 2-Acre zone (Lot or PAZ), a FunZone, or a There House for the Halloween zone contest.  Zone stacking is not permitted in this challenge - you must work with the number of drops allowed by the zone size. You may either start with an empty zone or take an existing zone and re-decorate it. It must be a single zone, not part of a group, or complex. 3. You have until Tuesday October 21st to finish decorating your zone and to submit the information listed above. 4. Judging will be done in two parts. The first part of judging will be done by Makena Staff, who will choose the top 5 decorated zones from the list of places sent in. Then on Friday, October 24th, the vote will be open to the entire community to decide the final winners from the top five. Voting will remain open for five days, closing on Tuesday, October 28th. Winners will be announced shortly afterward, and a Halloween celebration scheduled in the winnering zone on Thursday, October 30th. The 3 zones that receive the most votes will win a free month's rent (to be paid to the zone owners), and the 1st place winner will receive a fabulous memento for the zone. The 1st Place zone will also be the site of a "Halloween Party" event. Send those emails in and get decorating!  Good luck to all and we look forward to visiting your zones!
