MissMEM: Is this the only home you own, and if so do you plan on acquiring anymore?
Pressleigh: Currently this is our only house, per se. But in September our "vFamily" was unexpectedly separated and, with that, we were determined to bring everyone back together and happy again. With diligence and hard work, our dream was realized and took the form of our new neighborhood, La Esperanza, our home. When translated it means "hope" and is the foundation for our home and our future. La Esperanza is filled with several builds: a marina, a main beach, several houses that our family members reside in and even a "man club" for the guys to spend "guy" time in. LOL. And even Bumpin and I have a beautiful mansion, which is our pride and joy.
MissMEM: What was your inspiration for decorating your home?
Pressleigh: Bumpin and I wanted to build something that would be our own, and something to take pride in. As that relates to our house... we had a good friend, Zedic, customize the structure and then we painstakingly filled it with the things we love. From our pet parrots to the recreation room, which Bumpin fondly refers to as his "man cave"... LOL. Our home encompasses the whole island, built with our family in mind, and with their creativity included, making it a place where we can have fun and enjoy our time together.
MissMEM: Do you have a favorite place in your house? If so, where and why?
Pressleigh: Gosh... the whole house is such an experience. Even the bathroom was built through creative use of space. My favorite place in the house is our bedroom... not for the reasons one would assume LOL. The room is preceded by a nice sitting area and then you walk into a nice light intimate room where we spend our quality time. And while Bumpin likes our bedroom as well, I'm sure he would say his "man cave" is his favorite. It has all of the amenities any man would want in a space he calls his own.
MissMEM: What words of wisdom would you offer to new members who are looking to find their own home in There?
Pressleigh: Don't rush it. Take your time and shop around! Be unique! Bumpin and I explore There.com neighborhoods and PAZes on a regular basis and have seen some amazing builds. The time and creativity is your own so imagine your dreams, and then find what you need to make it happen! Most designers welcome the opportunity to make custom pieces, so don't be afraid to explore and get creative!
MissMEM: Do you hold parties/events often at your place? If so, what sort of gatherings are they? Anything coming up you'd like to invite the general public to?
Pressleigh: We don't necessarily hold events for the public in our home, but as we continue to develop our Island, we will be hosting events in our club, Club Elements. This is also a custom design by Zedic. It was conceptualized with "elements" in mind. Although it's still under construction, it will feature a working game room on the first floor and element themed party rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors, one being Water and the other Fire, with all of the other elements incorporated therein.
We are fortunate to have a resident DJ here on the Island, XPapooseX. And with this, we will be able to offer many opportunities, not only to our family, but also the public when it comes to parties and musical entertainment.
We also have our Lodge, another build by Zedic, which is almost completed and is designed as a card/quest/meeting place. Soon our friend, Shortay420, will be hosting regularly scheduled quests of all types from the Lodge, adding yet another amenity to La Esperanza!
MissMEM: And finally, what are your favorite items in your home?
Pressleigh: Well when it comes to our house, I know Bumpin loves his rubber ducky in the bathroom. And I love my sapphire engagement ring, which sits on our dining room table, that he bought me when we decided to get married. But something we both love is a little animated carousel that sits on a bookshelf in the music room. However, to answer your question more specifically as it pertains to our "home," our most favorite thing is our family. We are a diversified group of people that have become family here in-game, and have touched each other's lives, becoming friends for life beyond the confines of There.com. Bumpin and I cherish our family: DelilahElise, ItalyzFinest, HoneyZKiss, Keirnan, xPapooseX, b_rent, Jeyx3, Valletta, Houghy, XX_Leah_XX, and even Zedic and his wife iPurpleHaze.... We love our home and what makes our home is our family and all that we have built together.
