MissMEM: Is this your first garden? OVP: No, I've done various small arrangements in the past on my other Lots in our hood, Ocean View Pointe. However, this is the largest garden I've created. MissMEM: What was your motivation for creating this garden? OVP: I wanted to enter the 2009 Sping Garden Contest and that particular area of our Neighborhood needed to be filled with something since it's the only bumpy area.
MissMEM: Do you own any other property in There? If so, what other types of property and where? OVP: Yes, I co-own Ocean View Pointe Neighborhood with my buddy, freecreed and four Lots located inn the Neighborhood including the rock garden. I have a 1-Acre Lot with my Spanish Villa in it. Since I have lived in the state of Arizona for most of my life I wanted to decorate my home in the southwestern decor I'm most familiar with. I have another 1-Acre Lot with the JT Frank Lloyd Wolfe Home located in it. I love the stained glass windows and the floor plan of the house. It's set up for a club house atmosphere where the young folk can go to hang out. There is also a huge animated hex deck and Aristoteles' cloud house located above the home.
I have a 2-Acre Lot with three different dog pens in it to give people lots of variety in our dog training area. The dogs are so popular with everyone, young and old alike. Between freecreed and myslef, we own 17 dogs. We enjoy the dogs and it is helpful for people to skill up quicker by training additional dogs all at once. We have the domed playground, dog academy, and the jinx_tv round pen for dog training. Visitors can train and play with our dogs or drop their own dogs. The 2-Acre rock garden is where I go to relax and have some quiet time while I'm catching up on e-mails, working on my web site, or creating new designs.
MissMEM: What was your inspiration for creating and decorating your garden? OVP: I'm pretty much in charge of the Neighborhood decorating and handling real estate interests. I like helping new residents get their Lots set up and decorated. I love lots of variety, big splashes of color plus gazebos and beautiful rocks. I used to drive my mom crazy when I was a child because if I came across pretty rocks, I'd come home from school with a load of them in my pockets. I still pick up rocks when I spot them and decorate my yard with them.
MissMEM: Do you have a favorite place in your garden? If so, where and why? OVP: The snowy gazebo located in the center of the garden is my favorite spot. I like being surrounded by beautiful things and chatting with my friends there.
MissMEM: Do you enjoy decorating and do you do it often? OVP: I love decorating and change my layouts quite often. Decorating is one of my favorite past times in There. I especially like to decorate in the early morning hours when it's quiet around the hood.
MissMEM: What has been the best part about creating your garden? OVP: Trying to figure out how I was going to get everything to fit on the Lot! It went through several transformations until I was finally satisfied with it. I like to take various screen shots of the results at different angles so that I can eventually post them on my web site.
MissMEM: Is there a particular theme to your garden? OVP: Relax and enjoy hanging out in the garden by yourself or with your friends.
MissMEM: Are you planning on having any events at your garden? If so, when and is it open to the public? OVP: I have events going on in my garden around-the-clock every day and they are always open to everyone. The only time there are not any events going is when I don't check the schedule and forget to schedule additional events.
MissMEM: And finally, what are your favorite items in your garden? OVP: My favorite items are the snowy gazebo, the huge stone deck, the 12-seater campfire, the Majandi loft and anything purple!
