Garden of the Week - May 25, 2009

The There Community Gardens is filled with magical community built and maintained gardens.  One of the most eye catching gardens belongs to Carladajane, whose Bridge to No Where is absolutely classic with a delicious hint of mystical.  Read on to find out more about this phenomenal garden!

MissMEM: Is this your first garden?  What was your motivation for creating this garden? Carladajane:  No, I have created several gardens.    MissMEM: Do you own any other property in There?  If so, what other types of property and where? Carladajane: I have a house in the Wildwood Neighborhood.    MissMEM: What was your inspiration for creating and decorating your garden? Carladajane: I like to try and duplicate places and pictures I have seen.  My garden was structured mainly around a photograph although I did embellish it a bit. lol MissMEM:  Do you have a favorite place in your garden? If so, where and why? Carladajane: I like the wrought iron butterfly seat,  from there  I can sit and enjoy the beauty of the pond and watch the eagle flying. MissMEM:  Do you enjoy decorating and do you do it often? Carladajane: Decorating is definitively my favorite thing to do.     I have several houses I enjoy decorating inside and out. I just wish we could have more drops. MissMEM:  What has been the best part about creating your garden? Carladajane: The way everything flows to make a beautiful, serene place and watching the development of  gardens around mine. MissMEM:  Is there a particular theme to your garden? Carladajane: Not really, although I often do use a theme to develop my gardens and houses. I developed this garden as a place of retreat to sit and watch the eagle fly and listen to the wind and the birds songs. MissMEM:  Are you planning on having any events at your garden?  If so, when and is it open to the public? Carladajane: I have no events planned.   However, everyone is welcome in any of my houses or gardens at anytime. MissMEM: And finally, what are your favorite items in your garden?   Carladajane: I like the bridge and have used it in several other designs. I also have the eagle in pretty much all of my designs , the detail is so amazing. However it dificult to pick just one or two items because I like them all very much and have used them all in my other designs. To see the photo album, click here.
