| MissMEM: Is this the only home you own, and if so do you plan on acquiring anymore? TnKitten: No, but this is my favorite home. I purchase different styles of homes that I am drawn to based on the architecture. I am always looking through auctions for more. lol MissMEM: What was your inspiration for decorating your home? TnKitten: The style of this house is grand in scale and has an old world feel. I took pieces that I already own and created a space that was warm, inviting and elegant. My house is also used as a teaching tool for my Interior Design class. MissMEM: Do you have a favorite place in your house? If so, where and why? TnKitten: My favorite spot in the house is the "tanasborne" seating near the fireplace. It's a cozy little nook, that provides wonderful views of the surrounding portions of the house. The house also has a great portigo that leads to two turret's. I have used the additional spaces as bedrooms. MissMEM: What words of wisdom would you offer to new members who are looking to find their own home in There? TnKitten: Buy what you like! Something that represents you and your personal taste. Don't worry what others will think, and always try, try, try before you buy! lol MissMEM: Do you hold parties/events often at your place? If so, what sort of gatherings are they? Anything coming up you'd like to invite the general public to? TnKitten: I teach an Interior Design class, so there are many functions from class related sessions to friends gathering to chats and parties. MissMEM: And finally, what are your favorite items in your home? TnKitten: Oh that's like asking a mom who is her favorite child. lol I like all the pieces in my home, but I drew my inspiration from the artwork displayed. To see the photo album, click here.
