Zip and his lady, Racesmart, decided to respond to members clamoring to have events for their Coupe and Scion-type cars. Carcus race track pieces made it all fall into place. Zip and Race have created a variety of tracks from small ovals to large ovals to roadways with actual left AND right turns. Instead of hanging out at the Tastee Freeze or dragging down Main Street, they ask their motor head friends to join them at Leaning Palm and Island View to gab, show off their favorite mean machines, and ultimately to put the pedal to the metal.
The events are usually held on Wednesdays and Thursdays at Island View and Friday evening through Sunday at Leaning Palm. Joining the club Nascar Style Lapping and Racing ensures that members receive invitations to all events. They are still in the process of setting up schedules, but all events are held at either Leaning Palm or Island View.
Who can join? Anyone! Rules? Yes. There is a rule book in each zone. Zip and Racesmart have a collection of Coupes and Scions to use at these events. They are happy to lend them to racers. However, they have strict rules about borrowing only one and leaving it in the zone for others to use. Violations of that rule can result in removal from the event and banning from the zone.
Zip and Racesmart maintain their zones for the fun and enjoyment of their friends. They are hands-on owners and do their best to make these zones fun places to visit. They are happy to take friendly suggestions about how to ramp up the fun and keep the events hassle-free. |
