| SleepyK Raceway is located on a private island off the coast of Comet. The sandy terrain and large desert rocks are very fitting for this giant FunZone. SleepyK Raceway is operated by Alter, Tumble_Weed and ForSheetzNGigglz under the avatar Landlord. The SleepyK Raceway was named after SleepyK who passed away in 2006. There.com named the FunZone in his honor so that his racing legacy would live on in There. SleepyK has some of the largest Nascar-style race tracks in-world. The FunZone is host to a variety of vehicles including Buggies, Coupes, Scions, Hoverbikes, Hoverboards and TUVs. Check out the SleepyK events page to sign up for the regularly scheduled TRWC Lap Challenge and Jump the Hole events! Click here to view upcoming events at SleepyK. TRE: Does your SleepyK zone have a particular theme? Landlord: It doesn't really have a theme per se. A theme could be whatever the event host decides at the time. We will begin coordinating with the monthly themed events in There. With the new 100-drop limit for the FunZones, our themed events will be more spectacular. TRE: Does SleepyK have regular weekly events? Landlord: SleepyK joined the TRWC Lap Challenge circuit a couple months ago. That was our first step into having regularly scheduled weekly events. The events scheduled are more “off the cuff” and ideas that we come up with. Recently we had a monster truck racing event that had a great turnout! We had loads of fun watching eight monster trucks trying to squeeze through the gates. We also held a Bull Run event the other day and had a blast! This type of event consisted of two monster trucks creating havoc for six racers trying to complete the race. Scion Saturday is going to become another regular event held at SleepyK. Jump the Hole has been a Sunday night staple event at SleepyK for quite a long time now. We are going to have other types of racing events in the future to promote some of the other vehicles There has to offer. More future events are planned for SleepyK. TRE: What sets your FunZone apart from the others? Landlord: Being that SleepyK is such a large FunZone, it gives a unique disposition in that you can host any sort of event without being restricted due to the zone size. Having “off the cuff” fun events also makes the SleepyK name stand out on the event popup. The owners of SleepyK (Alter, Tumble_Weed and ForSheetzNGigglz) want the FunZone to be a fun and safe place for members to come and hang out with friends or to schedule their own events. TRE: What are your favorite items used to decorate SleepyK? Landlord: Our favorite items are the start gate, racing gates, a few well-placed bank turns and a couple ramps here and there to add excitement and a degree of difficulty to the racetrack. I'm a bit partial to the 1Book Tree005 and like to use it as a placement for the bottom of the lift on the observation decks. We use the 1Book rocks as decks instead of the plain old square decks. It adds a touch of character to one of my track builds. The Carcus track pieces make up the challenging Nascar-style tracks. Any little piece of decor that adds a unique signature of the builder of anything is and always will be my favorite item. TRE: How often do you change the layout of your FunZone? Landlord: I was very new to track building, but find that it is getting easier and easier to build a track and put it out for the day. I've built several Nascar-style tracks along with a few other unique track layouts which are on my open hosting website. I like to change the tracks as often as I can so when you teleport to the main landing pad you're left wondering what kind of track is in there now! TRE: Does SleepyK have an associated club that members can join? Landlord: We have the SleepyK Open Hosting Group. Members can apply to host events at the FunZone with any particular type of theme. So drop by SleepyK Raceway and try a few laps or to host your own event, but most importantly, we want you to have fun at SleepyK Raceway! To see a photo album of SleepyK Raceway, click here.
