MissMEM: Is this the only
home/neighborhood you own, and if so do you plan on acquiring anymore?
Majandi: No, right now I
have three places up in world. Star Base 1, The
Market Place and The
Helping Hand Monument in the
Community Garden.
MissMEM: What was your
inspiration for decorating your home?
Majandi: I was thinking
of setting up an opportunity for a space themed community for which
Star Base 1 could function as center PAZ to "dock" on to for others.
That's not really a brand new idea and we've seen many great space
communities rise and fall over the past few years, but as I made most
of the structures and decoration items myself. It was great fun
thinking of the opportunities and actually building the missing parts
for what I had in mind. It didn't work out as planned though. As you
can see, there
are no neighbors except myself having two Sixteenth-Acre PAZes set up
to close the open tubes.
MissMEM: What are
you top three favorite Sci-Fi movies?
Majandi: There is no
special Sci-Fi Movie I like better than any other, except Starwars, but
I also like the Star Trek, Stargate and Dr. Who series.
MissMEM: Do you
have a favorite place at the Star Base? If so, where and why?
Majandi: No, I don't.
Sometimes I think it’s the Arboretum, where I can let the dogs play, or
the inside of the base inside the asteroid. But then I also like to sit
in the observation pit or up in the tower to watch the stars. I like to
walk around from one location to another using the tubes and feel happy
about the many levels and different locations I have managed to set up
in the place.
MissMEM: What words
of wisdom would you offer to new members who are looking to find their
own home or build a neighborhood in There?
Majandi: Words of wisdom
are for the wise, and I am neither wise nor have words of wisdom
to share.
MissMEM: Do you
hold parties/events often at your place? If so, what sort of
gatherings are they? Anything coming up you'd like to invite the
general public to?
Majandi: No, I am
located in Germany and that means that most people in There are not
online when I am and the other way around. I spend most of my time in
There pretty much on my own, testing new developments and designs, if I
have the time to. Real life occupies a lot of my time and so I never
really know, when I have the time to be online.
MissMEM: And finally,
what are your favorite items at the Star Base?
Majandi: My favorite
item is the little stone statue called 'Inukshuk' on the table inside
the little barrel house inside the Arboretum. The Inukshuk symbolizes a
certain kind of consolation to me: It's a man made land mark in its
original form and purpose and if you stumble over one in real life
(mainly in Canada but also in different shapes all over the world. In
Europe they are usually only a pile of rocks, but with the same
function.) it may not only show you the way, but also say: "You are not
alone, even if you may feel that way at the moment. Be assured that
others have been here before you and have left this mark behind to send
you greetings and hope and guidance."
