MissMEM: Is this the only home you own, and if so do you plan on acquiring anymore? RockiesGran: LOL, as you and all my wonderful family and friends in There.com know about me, this is not the only home, building, boat, PAZ, Lot or Neighborhood I own. I have been decorating for over two years now and am currently decorating other homes, buildings, boats and grounds at the Keeper of the Stars neighborhood. I am honored to be involved in the Home of the Week/Year program again and THANK YOU SO MUCH to all of you for putting me here!
MissMEM: What was your inspiration for decorating your home? RockiesGran: This particular building is called The Richmond House and serves as the main clubhouse for my Neighborhood, Keeper of the Stars. It combines many functions into one building. On the first of the three floors, you will find a bar with tables for hanging out in the room on the left, an awesome large upscale western motif showroom with a stage, musical instruments and a large number of comfortable seating where we have Karaoke every Saturday night, a pool room with another more casual bar, and the foyer with fountains. On the second floor you will find warm seating in front of the fire and Keeper of the Stars Recipe Exchange Restaurant with four outside patio decks all around the building, and a grand piano for soft entertainment in the dining area. We also convert this area for wedding receptions and other parties or banquets. Continue up to the third floor and find the most attractive Keeper of the Stars Spades, Hearts, Gin & MotuMotu (when available) club with lots of tables, seating and another bar. Half of the tables are inside and half are outside on the deck with a beautiful fountain and view. It is a gorgeous place and view for playing cards. The entire Richmond House clubhouse building is available for events as many of the other buildings, boats and grounds in the very realistic Keeper of the Stars neighborhood, including the beautiful church. My inspiration came from trying to meet the needs of my wonderful tenants and very good family and friends, upgrade our previous, but very awesome, Karaoke Bar that we had in the western big red barn that I also loved, to match the type of décor in this entire building and still keep the western décor, and give the various events held in the Keeper of the Stars Clubhouse a beautiful and comfortable environment.
MissMEM: Do you have a favorite place in your house? If so, where and why? RockiesGran: I love this entire building, and I especially love the building itself so decorating was very easy, but I have the most fun and enjoyment in the showroom during our weekly Karaoke events. Lots of great singers and people join together in There and we have had some great times. The room is large, comfortable and has many seating areas as well as great sound and views. It is also very warm and attractive and makes a very pleasant atmosphere.
MissMEM: What words of wisdom would you offer to new members who are looking to find their own home in There? RockiesGran: Decorating your home in There can be a very satisfying experience and also addicting to many. Be sure to try your houses and decorating items before buying and find exactly what you love! Have patience as sometimes it can be trying, but you still get great satisfaction, enjoyment and sometimes, an addiction. Be true to yourself and your heart and you will create your own masterpiece of virtual dreams and reality. The item you use doesn't matter as much as how you use it in the space and how you space it. Keep your coloring coordinated and spacing as perfect as you can. Seek help whenever possible as there are many little tricks to help make it easier. Anyone at Keeper of the Stars has a lot of experience and would be happy to help you. Just IM us if you need it. All are very good at it and many have been involved in House of the Week also.
MissMEM: Do you hold parties/events often at your place? If so, what sort of gatherings are they? Anything coming up you'd like to invite the general public to? RockiesGran: Yes, we do have parties, events and functions a lot at Keeper of the Stars and this Keeper of the Stars Richmond House Clubhouse building. As I mentioned we have Karaoke events weekly and Spades events also. We would like to build up more card playing in our building so please don't hesitate to have your card events here, or any other events you wish. We have scion racetracks, a drag strip, ramps, hoops and jumps and will be having weekly events for those also. Keeper of the Stars Church is set up for GORGEOUS weddings, with ability for GORGEOUS receptions at our clubhouse, parks, the Mega Mega Yacht, or any of the other boats or yachts in the harbor. Feel free to have your events at Keeper of the Stars. There are also a few choice lots available in the beautiful and peaceful Keeper of the Stars, where our friendships and dreams become reality...
MissMEM: And finally, what are your favorite items in your home? RockiesGran: Gosh, I just don't even know how to answer that one as I follow my own heart on every item I use from the building and grounds to each and every furnishing and art piece when I decorate. I hunt down what I feel to be best for the purpose, coloring or space. Therefore, I love everything in this building and what I love is the warmth, look and feel of the end result gives. I would have to start with the Richmond House building itself, as the designer, Xedos, did and awesome job on this very versatile, unique and beautiful building. I also would have to focus on the stage, by Geea, and how it matches this building perfectly. In addition, I love the red and black card tables & foyer fountains (both of them). Thank you so much and I hope you all enjoy it, have great times here, and meet all the wonderful people here!
