Trick or Treat!

The tradition of Trick-or-Treating has been around for centuries, and now we're bringing it to you with a little twist! We've planted 5 creepy cauldrons at some of the spookiest landmarks in There and it's up to you to find them. Each cauldron contains a special item - some are treats and some are tricks.

So put on your best costume and grab some of your ghoulish friends for a little Trick-or-Treating in There. When All Hallows' Eve is over, the cauldrons will disappear. While you're out and about, why not visit some of the awesomely spooky haunted homes our members have created? In addition to the zones selected for our Haunted Home of the Week feature, here are a few more that shouldn't be missed: ellejae, Unicrystal, SportStar25 and coolangatte. Great job, everyone!

Next Developer Chat on November 9th

If you're a There developer and would like to learn more about what's happening behind-the-scenes with the developer program, please join us at our upcoming Developer Program Chat on Monday, November 9th, at 5pm Pacific. Staff will be on hand to talk about the latest updates and projects currently in development.

Participate in Avie Challenege Events (ACE) to prove your skills and maybe you'll be named the Ultimate Avie! There will be Quests, Races, Paintball, Trivia, Footraces, Puzzles and more! Join the Avie Challenge Club for news and updates.

ACE events begin on Sunday, November 1st and end on Saturday, November 7th. Earn a point for every event you participate in. Earn more points for coming in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd at events. Find out who the Ultimate Avie is at the Avie Challenge Celebration at 5pm Pacific on November 9th!

Haunted Home of the Week - October 26, 2009

This halloween week,  make your way to a place where angels fear to tread!  Drizzelda's Lair is a devilishly frightful spook house that comes from the demented mind of beloved Thereian, Synny.  Beware, this well-to-do hostess with the mostess  has a few evil and dark tricks up her sleeve to scare the BAH-geezes out of you.

Halloween Designer Challenge Winners!

The votes have been cast and you have chosen a winner. We are pleased to announce that Virtual_Vikki has won first place in the Halloween Designer Challenge for her Ultimate Halloween Robot for Girls costume!

Ameshin took second place for her Purple Witch design and Disky came in third with her Alice in There Caterpillar creation. Congratulations! Thanks so much to everyone who participated in the challenge. We have such a creative community in There.com, and it is always exciting to see your amazing work. There Shutterbugs Halloween Contest

Halloween is here! We want to see your spookiest pics from this month's themed events, so get your cameras ready. This is another great opportunity to earn 5000 TBux for your event photos, and we're planning to give a bonus of 5000 TBux for our favorite screenshot.

Take your best haunted screenshot and submit your best pictures to our Flickr group by Monday, November the 2nd, and we'll pick our favorite to win. Join the There Shutterbugs group and join our Flickr group. Be sure to tag all your Halloween photos with "2009, October09, There.com, Halloween" so we can find them easily.  Quick tip: If you're posting photos to the Flickr pool, and your Flickr name is different from your There avatar name, you should include your avatar name somewhere in the photo's description.  That way we’ll know who to reward if it's chosen!

October Screenshot and Video Challenge

Earlier this month we were very excited to introduce a whole new look for There.com. One of the coolest things about the makeover is that it gave us a chance to feature images from our very own Shutterbugs club and show off their terrific work. When we unveiled the new design, we mentioned that we'd need more material in the future and to stay tuned for details about how you could contribute.

Now we're coming to you, the experts, to help us show potential new members why it's so much fun to be in There. This is also a great chance for you to promote your club, your community, your event, your zone, or your own designer brand. We're looking for fresh pictures and videos to help us illustrate a few key themes that we think will appeal to new members, such as: Get In On The Action:  Race your vehicle on the open road, surf the skies on a hoverboard, or sign up your crew for some paintball madness. Shop 'til You Drop:  Check out the fashions from some of the hottest designers, or grab some friends and go bargain-hunting in the auctions. Walk On The Wild Side:  Get a personal guide to show you around, or just freestyle and go exploring on your own. The world is full of hidden surprises! Let Your Imagination Go Crazy:  Decorate your dream home, design your own fashion line, or create a super-cool avatar that gets everybody's head turning. Meet Someone New:  Hit the local clubs—or just walk around and you’ll meet new people everywhere you go! You can make new friends every day. What do I get if my screenshot or video is selected for use on the web site? If your screenshot is chosen for use on There.com, you will receive 5,000T. CC Metro News and Updates

Wow! 2009 has been one phenomenal year for CC Metro. We've seen cool new updates and redesigns, a brand new dog park in Candler Park, and the smooth transformation of the old MCR Store into the amazing new Coca-Cola Specialty Store.
