December Screenshot and Video Challenge

Back in October, not only did we unveil a totally new look for There.com, but we also launched our first video and screenshot challenges to allow you, our members, to submit material for the site. We're back again to give you another opportunity to help us show potential new members why it's so much fun to be in There.

This challenge is a great chance for you to promote your club, your community, your event, your zone, or your own designer brand. We're looking for fresh pictures and videos to help us illustrate some more key themes that we think will appeal to new members, such as: Run a Party Marathon: Hop from party to party to par-tay! It'll keep you in training for Mardi Gras, Halloween, and other worldwide celebrations.  Fill Out Your Hand: Deal out a game of 'Holdem, Hearts, Gin, Spades, or Motu-Motu and see how many fun-loving card plalyers you can shuffle into your life. Be a People Magnet: Relax, kick back, and catch up with your friends. You'll be surprised at all the people you can meet by doing absolutely nothing.  Big Air at CC Metro: Drop in and show your high-flying skills at Coca-Cola's Skate Park. Keep Your Eye on Club Scion: Check out the heat at these three sleek nightclubs, and then invite your new best friends to chill in the hot tubs at the Pool Lounge. How do I submit a screenshot?

All screenshots can be submitted by either emailing community@thereinc.com or by simply posting them to the There_Shutterbugs Flickr group with the tag "therephotochallenge". To post them to Flickr, create a Flickr account, join our Shutterbugs group on Flickr, and post them to the group's pool. 

Images should be 320px x 240px - 300 dpi. They should be clean with no outlines please!

If you're sending screenshots in via email, be sure to include your avatar name.

If you're posting them to the Flickr pool, and your Flickr name is different from your There avatar name, you should include your avatar name somewhere in the photo's description.  That way we’ll know who to reward if it's chosen!

Remember, on Flickr, each image must be tagged with "therephotochallenge" so we can easily find the entries.

How do I submit a video?

Once you have created your video for this challenge, all you have to do is host it on your favorite video-sharing site (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) and then send us the link at community@thereinc.com.  If you are Aral's friend on Facebook, you can also share the link with us there. We'll take a look and if we want to use your video on There.com, we will contact you about sending us the movie file.

Your video must meet the following guidelines:

1. 320 x 420 resolution
2. Be in .wmv format
3. Must be no longer than 10 SECONDS
4. Not include any sound

When you send us the link to your movie, please be sure to include your avatar name.

Video Tip: Don't forget that you can capture video in world (without sound) by using Control - Shift - G. This pops up a window which will allow you to take videos in There. (Be sure to push it again when you are done, otherwise you will still be recording!)
