Tour the University of There

On Thursday, March 13th there will be four, half hour tours of the University of There, starting at 2:30pm Pacific time. Your host will be Stungthumbz, Dean of UoT. The University of There provides a broad spectrum of classes.

Subjects available to members range from tools and techniques for 3D design and Paint Shop Pro by professional designers, through Indian legends (taught by a member of the Dakota Sioux) to household budgeting and even virtual dog training. There is special training available and there are facilities reserved for the physically challenged at a UOT campus annex. The University operates their own campus shoutcast radio called KUOT. Accredited institutions also use UoT for classes, including Oregon State University, Stanford University, and San Francisco State University. Unicrystal Designs Spring Fashion Show: Sponsored by UoT

Unicrystal Designs is announcing the new rescheduled Spring Fashion Show. Come and see the designs created by Unicrystal's UoT design students and the upcoming Spring Fashion Show. You won't want to miss the debut of some hot, fun Spring fashions for both men and women, including some new formal wear designs. In addition to Unicrystal items, you can also see the work of some new designers.

Skeletons Invade UoT! Visit the UoT campus and check out the skeletons at the Archeology Department in Natural History. Have those skeletons been digging themselves up?

UOT Dog School Class This Saturday at 5 PM Pacific (8 PM Eastern) If you attend this class, you are very likely to skill up in Dog Handling.

University of There Fall Semester

Activities at the UOT campus this weekend are centered around the new fall semester. The following events are scheduled for Saturday, September 8th at the UOT Campus on Comet Island:

University of There Fall Semester

The 2007 Fall Semester Kickoff Event will be on Saturday, September 8th at 2pm Pacific on Campus. Painting, Paint Shop, and 3D design are skills that are marketable in the outside world and also immediately usable in There. These courses are important components of the UOT fall academic semester.

Announcement from the University of There

University of There, with support from The College of the Redwoods and iTV, is able to offer a college credit course in machinima and 3D design, which will start preliminary planning and registration this month and run through the Fall semester. An important planning meeting will be held at the UoT School of Design this coming Tuesday, 24 July. Click here to sign up!

Interested students who are able to pay tuition and fees to the sponsoring "real world" institutions are urged to attend. Access to, basic understanding of, and use of Voice, Adobe Photoshop, and possibly other software will be required. However, enrolled students will be eligible for academic discounts, which can offset tuition costs. 

The course planned will be 4 transferable college credit hours. Students not residents of California or southern Oregon will receive a certificate of completion at this time.  However, we are working to provide transferable credit for out-of-state students. (Of course, out-of-state registration is an option, but it is more expensive.) Attendance and grading policies will be similar to standard on-campus college classes.  Interested students should attend the meeting. Please contact Stungthumbz@aol.com for questions.

UoT Graduation and Adventures in Education

This month's Adventures in Education at the University of There is scheduled for Saturday, June9th. The program includes Indian Lore at New Adventures (4-5pm Pacific), followed by the Graduation (closed ceremony, please contact your instructor for a

reservation and jacket), and then a flotilla from the UoT School of Flight at 7pm. All are welcome to attend the open events.
